Media Center .WTV files DLNA to PS3 (2.53 ROM) have no audio

Submitted by JeffLomax on January 16, 2009 to Bug, Usability

Using Media Center DNLA (which takes away the ability to choose DLNA devices and has numerous Protocol errors) .WTV files play on PS3 Video only, no audio. This is a slight improvement from the hated dvr-ms format which almost never played on anything that wasn't 100% Microsoft.

Support DLNA and open video/audio standards.

Thank god dvr-ms files are gone. But MS still needs to allow users to save unprotected content in MPEG-2 if they wish. So many people abandon media center just because of its standards hating approach to the users media.
