Win-Flip 3D
Win-Flip 3D is a pretty good idea, it looks good and is pretty good for changing programs, except no one is going to use it as an alternative to alt+tab if you have to press and hold the windows key to use it.
Implement a one-key shortcut to launch the application. I've hot-keyed it to F8 ala mac and I use it more often than alt+tab these days!

Changed title from [Win-Flip 3d] to [Win-Flip 3D].
Wow, somebody really likes Flip 3D? Nice but I find it really useless in comparison to Expose. Expose has its own drawbacks but it is really more useful than Flip 3D...
I never really thought Flip 3D was very efficient at all. You have to cycle through all your programs just to get to one of them. I think what they're doing with the superbar and Aero Peek is a lot better, faster, and useful. I've never really used Flip 3D except for fun when I'm bored or to impress people who have never seen or heard of Windows Vista before, lol.
Just use autohotkey if you really need this:
;bind flip3d on 4th mouse button:
XButton1::Run %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe dwmapi.dll #105
However, it's slow, i don't want to watch moving windows, therefore I use
;send ctrl+alt+tab - just like smaller expose, and instant!
XButton1::Send ^!{Tab}
I don't understand anything keff said...
you can click on a window in flip-3D like in expose too...
@ GRiNSER: I agree, as it stands in vista it is pretty useless compared to Expose. But if you can have a one button toggle on/off as mac do for expose, and Im sure you already know this, but once you've opened win-flip3D you can click the window you want rather than cycling through to the one you want/use the arrows to navigate. I find it rather easy to use
@Arayta: I reckon the superbar and aero peek looks awesome too, but its not really the same thing, is it? Im talking about a keyboard shortcut rather than hovering the mouse over the taskbar..
oh and ,
@ keff: ive already got it hot-keyed =P but thanks anyway...But i suppose another reason I want this in windows is so that you dont need 3rd party applications, which just use up more memory, to run it
Expose just makes me dizzy
I don't particularly like Apple or Mac OSX, but I have to admit Expose kicks Aero Flip's ass. They either need to update it or dump it.
I vote for expose too, more useful than flip-3D, it's the same as Alt-Tab only slower. Expose has a use all on its own.
I didn't know windows could be clicked on in Flip3D.
That brings usefulness up 100% for me.
