Due to the stupidity of Long (that's me), all comments on the Windows 7 Taskforce after March has been lost.
As a result of this unfortunate event, a transition to a new backend (the one powering heresanidea.net) is being considered.

<FIXED> Buggy Paint and Notepad if save location is no longer available

Submitted by antiufo on January 4, 2009 to Bug

Try this:

* Create a new folder
* Open Notepad, Save a file to that folder and close it
* Delete the folder
* Open Notepad
* Save as

You get not one, but two errors.

Simply display an other folder (for example Documents or Libaries) if the save folder doesn't exist.

That's a pretty serious issue

I noticed this too.
I think it might not be just paint and notepad, but with the computer browser dialog itself.

Even if this dialog HAS to appear, it should appear once and follow the Aero guidelines because this huge amount of text is just shit. And: "Errors are not 'OK', place a 'close' button instead" :D

AAARRGGG. I hate when this happens. I think IE 8 does it too.

Smells like a typical beta bug to me ;)
