<FIXED> What?? Searching "iPod" in the Start Menu returns control panel items, but if you type "zune" nothing appears!

Submitted by antiufo on January 3, 2009 to Bug

Come on Microsoft :D
Perhaps Zune will never reach the market share of iPod, but at least be optimistic!

Notes:
* I have no iPods installed
* ipod is not the beginning of an other keyword, I tried every combination: ipoda, ipodb, ipodc... but nothing appeared
* I know this is not a "bug" but I had to choose at least one category

Nice find.

I believe there's a spy at Microsoft.

It's probably based on user experience program data - Zune users dont have to do any of that stuff, because Zunes have decent management software, whereas iPods don't. (disclaimer: I own a Zune, an iPod, a Windows Mobile Phone and an iPhone)

The Zune is not showing as a HDD, but as a device... a secured device (you can't put files on it... you are FORCED to use Zune software (which I don't mind actually because it's a good software compared to iTunes).
But it should have options like "open Zune", and some items like transfer songs (where t uses Zune software on the back to perform the transfer or something... just ideas for now)

@Good - It does, if you have the zune software installed.

The Zune will probably get a spot in the Device Stage since it's an MS product, and hopefully we'll be able to perform tasks from the start menu.
