No feedback which tool was chosen

Submitted by Ensign Joe on November 4, 2008 to Annoyance, Usability

If you choose a tool (like pen) in Paint or a different brush you click on that menu and are presented with various icons representing the specific tool. If you click on one ot the tools the menu closes and you have no feedback (besides a changed mouse pointer) which tool was chosen.

Change the icon of the menu button to match the selected tool.

I saw in newer builds than 6801 they replaced the drop down selector for the tools with a direct input where you just choose without having to trigger a dropdown. Good change!

@Ensign Joe: Well, this bug is still there!
If you reduce the size of the Paint window, you'll get the drop down button, and the same bug.
