Add battery icon to log in screen. (laptops only)

Submitted by .Chris on December 14, 2008 to Aesthetics, Icons, Usability

Why not add a battery icon to the welcome screen. This would be great for people who dont have a battery indicator on their laptops, and they have their account password protected. They can open the lid see how much battery life they have left before logging on so they can get the charger or what ever.

iThink you mean Login Screen. Will be great if it had the time too.

Good idea. Rather then an icon though maybe just a text saying the percent, add it right under the digital clock in the upper left or right that should be added ha ha.

Changed title from [Add battery icon to welcome screen. (laptops only)] to [Add battery icon to log in screen. (laptops only)].

Great idea. Fedora's got one. You could provide a set of tiny indicators that could be turned on or off by the admin. (A subset of Clock, battery, accessibility options, shutdown, etc. all could be lined up somewhere)
