User Account Control Settings page has room for improvement

Submitted by Cuppa on December 3, 2008 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Bug, Usability

There are several things wrong here:

1. There are no scrollbars when the content overflows.
2. There is white space on either side of the grey bar containing the 'OK' and 'Cancel' buttons.
3. The information box gets pushed below the scroll bar when the window is resized horizontally.
4. The information box might be described as 'hideous' (sort of matches the XP tooltip style, though...).

Seems like this is a big problem in Windows 7, this is the third window I've seen with this issue.

Looks like this is fixed in Build 6956 (the styling), but I don't have it to test. Can someone running 6956 resize the window to see if it has changed in that regard?

Okay, this is basically fixed in Build 7000.

Note -- it's already fixed in beta 1 (build 7000).
