Taskbar Icon Color Hotspots don't Fade Away

Submitted by RyGuy12 on November 23, 2009 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Bug, Icons

When an icon on the Windows 7 desktop is hovered over, either a Color Hotspot following the mouse or a little white light appears. When the mouse is moved over these icons horizontally, the lights and colors fade away once the mouse has left the icon. However, if you hover over an icon, and drag the mouse directly up, the Color Hotspot or White Light will not disappear, and will stay in their "mouse-over" state.

Make taskbar icon Color Hotspots or "White Light" disappear when the mouse is dragged off them vertically.

Windows 7 has that "Window Preview" feature.
The taskbar icon is still selected while your mouse is in the Window Preview area, which is exactly on top of the icon.

I don't see that being a major or even annoying problem. Unless you don't like aero and window previews.
