Explorer Opens All Selected Items on Double-Click
First of all, as obscure and rare as this occurrence may seem, I come across it on quite a regular basis when I'm trying to quickly get into a particular hard-drive from the "Computer" special folder. Here's what happens...
When you have items grouped in explorer, clicking the group name selects all the files under that group. This is a handy feature, and I don't have any problems with it. The problem seems to lie in the fact that there's a minor delay between when you click the group name, and when all the files are selected. If you happen to double-click a file under that group during this delay period, and the second click is performed after explorer has finally selected all items, all the select folders will be opened (it doesn't seem to affect files).
I personally get this a lot in the "Computer" special folder as I sometimes accidentally click the group name before double-clicking the hard-drive I want to access. When this happens, all 7 of my hard-drives open in explorer.
The best thing Microsoft can do about this, is in Windows Explorer make it impossible for a double-click to action more than one item. This would protect against this in not only the scenario described, but in other scenarios where this is currently possible (I don't know of any others myself).
