How are WMP's libraries related with Windows Explorer's?

Do WMP just add Windows's library location in in its own library? or the MUSIC, PICTURES and VIDEO are same for both as there is no Documents in WMP and recorded tv library in Windows.
Tell me pls...i dont access to win7 anymore..my beta period ended some months ago and someone is asking me this
