Useful features for better navigation in windows explorer - w7

Submitted by ffayaz on October 6, 2009 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Icons, Usability

I usually used "xplorer2 Pro" for navigating the files and folders. It is a very useful windows explorer which allows ONE pane OR dual panes (for copying files and folders between different drives) and also allows new tab (like internet explorer for new windows).

There are other useful features you can do, like double click in the right pane in a clear area will drive you backward one level. Also, there is no need for you to display all folders as there is a handy feature called "scrap container" that allows you to drag and drop your frequent files and folders in a lower pane for instant access.

These features are not found in windows 7 RC till now.

I would like greatly that microsoft includes not all the above features BUT include only these TWO features in the windows 7 for windows explorer :

1. In the right pane, when you double click a clear area, you are taken backward one level.

2. Allow new tab just like Internet explorer for a fresh windows rather than openning a new windows explorer.

I hope these handy features will be added in windows explorer for w7. Till now, I will carry on using my xplorer2 Pro.
