Stuttering windows animations (restore and close) edit: added video

Submitted by Soulburner on July 24, 2009 to Aesthetics, Annoyance

The Aero animations for newly opened, restored and closed windows aren't smooth. There's a slight stutter, which is mostly noticable during the close animation - it looks almost like there's a frame or two missing in the begining of it.

Not all people seem to notice it, but I've checked the beta and rc versions on many different computer configurations and the problem remains.

The animations in Windows Vista are very smooth.

Add the missing frames?

I have the same problem over here...

I've seen too many people complaining about this.

Spec: Windows 7 Retail (x86) - AMD Athlon 64 3700+ - 1GB DDR RAM - GeForce 6600 256MB (Forceware 195.62) - CRT monitor (I'm mentioning this because some people reported that this problem happens only on LCDs which is untrue).
