Due to the stupidity of Long (that's me), all comments on the Windows 7 Taskforce after March has been lost.
As a result of this unfortunate event, a transition to a new backend (the one powering heresanidea.net) is being considered.

Hangs up when coming out of sleep, screen saver, power saver mode

Submitted by ChicoThorn on May 29, 2009 to Annoyance, Bug, Usability

I have the screensaver set to activate after 3 minutes, and power off monitor set to activate after 5 minutes. When I wake up the system (by pressing a key or moving the mouse) the display returns but is completely unresponsive for about 2 or 3 minutes. Sometimes it wakes to the user logon prompt, but not always. A few times it never comes back and requires a forced reboot (not cool). So I've turned off the auto screen and power savers and just flip the switch on my monitor... but shouldn't this work the way it was intended? BTY, I'm running an Intel Core 2 Quad (Q6600), 8gb ram, Intel Desktop Board DG965WH, Nivida GeForce 9800 GTX, Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty Pro, Samsung 2493hm LCD monitor...

Fix it. The work-a-round is to turn it off. Better Microsoft fix it.
