Due to the stupidity of Long (that's me), all comments on the Windows 7 Taskforce after March has been lost.
As a result of this unfortunate event, a transition to a new backend (the one powering heresanidea.net) is being considered.

Add 'Rate Wallpaper' option to Desktop Slideshow

Submitted by fanta2 on November 13, 2008 to Usability

Using the Blue Badge patch along with Search Folders (see http://www.windows7taskforce.com/view/215) one can set up Desktop Slideshow to display pictures with specific tags or names, or even ratings. Unfortunately, while you can skip photos from the desktop with this option enabled, you can't rate them.

I'd like to see a 'Rate Wallpaper' option in the desktop context menu, which would rate a photo and ideally influence it's likelihood of appearing when the shuffle feature is enabled.

The slideshow feature could use the existing rating of files seen in vista which goes from one to five stars. It needs to be implemented on the wallpapers dialog as windows media player does with generated playlists.
