Add "Always Show All Details" To Explorer file copy progress bar window

Submitted by mike1in3 on May 9, 2009 to Usability

When copying large files in Windows Explorer, you can click "Show details" on the bottom of the progress bar window. I always like to watch the details, and find it annoying to have to click it every time I do it.

Add a setting to Explorer that allows you to set "Always show all details on file copy progress" or something of the sort.

Much agreed...I know MS is all about simplicity, but what about use geeks!

This is a small fix and wouldn't take them long. But it would be really nice to have it working.

Classic Shell's Explorer component adds this tweak to always show "More Details".
