always on top?

im coming from using windows XP, and i used a shell program called blackbox lean. if there were ONE feature from that shell i could have back, it would be the ability to make any window pinned to the foreground with a single click of a button on the top bar of the window, or even just an option in the edit dropdown box of any window.

the reason for this is because i find it very useful to be able to pin the calculator or the notepad application to the foreground while i scroll through information behind it without having to fish for the calculator or whatever in the taskbar again. you might say you could just shrink the application that is not in the foreground and share the desktop space, but i would like the option nonetheless.

a button that allows you to pin any window to the foreground

A good idea, I believe a program called 'Turbo-Top' did the same thing in XP, not sure if it is compatible with 7 though.
