Using Headset device

Submitted by windowsseven on November 10, 2008 to Annoyance, Bug, Usability

When i connect my Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 it will install and work with a few apps IF you have the option in that particulary app to use different sound/recording devices, other apps like Windows MediaPlayer and Windows sounds will apear in my laptop speakers mixer. If i click the sound icon down at the right bottom > Open Volume mixer the select my device it will show that my device doesn't use any of the apps or the ability to make them play trough the device. Shouldn't Windows make my headset device as a default on all apps while it's plugged in?

Use the option in your app to use your device.
