Put advanced "file type"features back that has been missing since XP

Submitted by i00 on April 11, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability

You can no longer access the "file type" setup section from the explorer interface - the only way to access file type settings is through the registry.

On Windows XP the option could be accessed through Tools > Options > File types. And although there is a cut down replacement (default programs) you can not setup advanced options such as DDE and extra right click options.
