Effects here would serve no purpose apart from adding bloat and unnecessary use of valuable resources.
Not everything needs some sort of effect.

stop being afraid of change people. if your gonna bitch about this using resources, then bitch about aero, as that uses more resources....
As .Chris said: "stop being afraid of change people. if your gonna bitch about this using resources, then bitch about aero, as that uses more resources...."
Aye Aero does use resources, however it is worth it because Aero is offloaded to the GPU freeing up the CPU from having to compose the UI like it has had to do in previous versions of Windows. CPU is saved for your applications while the often negated GPU and its memory is put to work.
If you want this 3D effect then use a third-party extensions, because it is rather useless and serves no purpose.

Chillax, dude, nobody's bitching, we're just expressing our opinion. No need to be so hostile toward's anyone who doesn't agree with you.
As for Aero, it brings with it not just eyecandy, but also improves productivity and user experience. This proposed change, though, is just change for change's sake.
If we're gonna do this, why not put everything at an angle to make it look like 3D. Wouldn't that be cool? In addition to being hard to read.
Buagh... that's really ugly...
who said i'm mad that no one agrees with me. no, i didnt.
you stupid kids need to get off and get a life and stop pissing people off
And you, kid, need to take the Internet a bit less seriously.
is that 3d effect or is it just distorting your face(picture)?
