[fixed] The Scenic Ribbons don't remember their states

Submitted by tino on November 6, 2008 to Usability

By double clicking a tab on the new Ribbon UI you can collapse it. While the Office 2007 apps do remember the state of the Ribbon after closing and re-opening an app, Wordpad's and Paint's Ribbon do not remember how you have left it.

This may be an issue for pro-users who want the Wordpad Ribbon always be closed.

Should work like in Office 2007.

I think that Microsoft did that because that way it will fell much better and comfortable to use office. Microsoft keep paint and wordpad as much simple as they can in order to push users to buy office. If Wordpad were something like Abiword, who'd buy Word?

@ihavenomouth: A program should respect the decisions made by an user. No mater if it is part of the OS or an other suite.

Seems to be fixed in Build 7000.
