Allow "flipping" Task Bar layout, especially for right/left positioning

Submitted by pmbAustin on February 15, 2009 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Usability

When you move the task bar to the right or left side of the display, it would be nice if you could have the option of having the 'start orb' in the bottom corner of the display (so that if you position the task bar in the left side, the start-orb's position is essentially unchanged), and have the icons build UP instead of DOWN.

It might even be useful on the top/bottom positions, for left-handers, or RtL cultures.

Yes, please. The bottom left corner is the most familiar place.
Instead we have two instances in which the Start button is in the top left.

This is very much wanted - the 'orb' should be able to be moved to ANY corner of the screen, when the task bar is moved to any edge.

In addition the "focus" and layout of the start menu should not point to the right when the task bar is on the right edge.
