Force all programs to "Aero Snap"
Adobe Photoshop CS4, Itunes won't maximize when dragged to the top of the screen.
Force all programs to "Aero Snap" regardless of the developer. Or, make it mandatory for Windows programs to follow "Aero Snap" guidelines.

Hm dunno if this is possible as we all do know that Apple is too stupid to respect Windows conformalities and so they decided to dump all the Windows guidelines for interface programming and ported their shitty interface to Windows with their own routine for window dragging and resizing thus leading to Aero Snap being inoperative.
I'm sure this would have already been implemented if it were possible.
@ Ensign Joe: That's why I refuse to use Itunes. People complain about Windows not running well with Itunes but they can't get the fact that it's Apple's fault!
I don't see what Microsoft can do about this.
Custom windows are custom, you can't expect windows to recognize each and every different window type.
@ensign Joe
not quite. Apple did finally add the aero close, minimize and maximize buttons on the iTunes software a few years ago. ITunes runs well on windows, perhaps you dont know how to use it? or you hate apple?
@ .Chris: Itunes runs well on Windows. What a joke! It freezes every random moment.
May be on your systems. I never experienced any problems....
Not just mine. On my friends, my friend's friend and my secondary computer. It's also resource intensive!
It also does not know how to uninstall itself.
Leaves some processes running.
.Chris: maybe because you're using a mac?
@ fiji,
That I agree with.
@xombie
I used a PC before with iTunes . i'm using a mac now with windows 7 7000 installed, but i'm going back to a PC. The only thing I like by apple is the ipod touch and the iphone...
I also can't use a Ipod since the Ipod is tied into Itunes and I refuse to use ITunes. That's why I use the Zune.
But the Ipod Touch is so enticing!
Zune, the peace of you know what that cant even work with its own software or the plays for sure deal (i know its dead now, but before) plus brown....
The 32GB ipod touch has become my second computer. But if I had an iphone, it will really be my second computer (given itn has the phone as well as 3G/edge and I can get on anywhere) but for 70 bucks a month, no thanks...
The iPod Touch is amazing. It's really the only thing by Apple that I give a damn about-- and it's a pretty big damn, too!
The iPhone, however, sucks. No video capabilities, no MMS, no background processes, no stereo bluetooth... these are all things that my Samsung flip phone can do, and it's not even a smartphone. It was actually manufactured in 2004, plus it came free with my contract. The iPhone hardware and software make an amazing iPod, but as a phone it's just awful.
As far as iTunes on Windows goes... yuck. Apple doesn't conform to Windows style guidelines. I hate custom windows, they just stick out like a sore thumb, and they take away some functionality. For example, thumbnails don't work correctly, minimizing/maximizing effects look glitchy, and they slow down the application. iTunes in particular is pretty slow, and not very easy to use. I prefer the Zune software much better, although it's not much better on system resources than iTunes.
Anyway, I'd love to see this feature, but it's not likely to happen since it's, well impossible right now.
why is the discussion going towards apple???
lol, i rmb once in a keynote steve said: many people believed iTunes was the one of the best windows apps ever.
Wasn't that the introduction of the iTunes music store?
@ hoopla_punta: Why shouldn't this discussion go "towards" Apple?!
Because the main point of this topic is for all developers, not just apple, to use aero snap. But a lot of these programs were produced before windows 7 was made plubic or even developed.
Yeah, but if Apple followed Windows UX guidelines it would have "Aero Snap(ed)". AVG Free Edition "Aero Snaps" and that was made for Vista!
There's no reason why anyone shouldn't be following guidelines for a certain platform. Microsoft for one makes it's Office for Mac blend right in (whether it's performance is good or not...that's a different story). Apple could easily make iTunes follow the guidelines instead of their proprietary crap, but it's unlikely that they'll change.
And I remember that comment about iTunes being like "a glass of cold water in hell" or a similar comment that Jobs said...yeah right, it's been slow all along and it's the only software I've seen that gets much slower and more bloated with every new version! I hate it just because it's such a resource hog.
