Due to the stupidity of Long (that's me), all comments on the Windows 7 Taskforce after March has been lost.

Caps Lock state reflected incorrectly on the touch input keyboard

Submitted by seifip on February 8, 2009 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Bug, Usability

Hi,

1. Press the Caps Lock button on your keyboard (turn it on)
2. Lock the computer, go to Sleep, Hibernate or Log off
3. Choose your user to go to the login screen

Caps Lock is turned on, a warning message about this fact can be seen under the text field but the input keyboard doesn't reflect this fact. If you now press your keyboard button to turn Caps Lock off, it will change the keyboard to the "Caps Lock on" state with the white Caps Lock key/capital letters.

Take care,
Philip Seyfi, http://divita.eu

Update the keyboard to reflect the actual Caps Lock state.

I don't have a touch screen, so I'll just take your word for it.
