More details for Snipping Tool
Is not really a bug or anything, but I think it would be a great idea, I don't used Windows 7 yet, but I think the Snipping Tool is working the same way:
When you capture a window, or anything with the Snipping Tool it also capture the background of that window. So when I want to make a good window capture I have to set the desktop to white to make the window I will capture look good, if I let the window as it is, with other windows on background and desktop wallpaper on back the window I captured will look ugly (transparency and shadows).
Make the Snipping Tool capture the windows with transparency and shadows in png format with blank background.

I would rather a option so I can switch between a white background and a regular one.
Said it once before in another Snipping Tool post, that I would like if to support preserving the window transparencies like that of Window Clippings.
It gets saved as a PNG, in this image I added the background cause Flickr would have turned it black. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3510/3251237664_04d061aaef.jpg?v=0
Ha! After reading your solution more closely we cam to the same conclusion!
Great logic_earth, is exactly what I was asking for, would be great that Snipping Tool could do that.

without functionality suggested here, the snipping tool is quite pointless - i can do screen shots with PrintScreen and Alt+Printscreen and quickly cut and save them with IrfanView or Paint for example. So there's currently nothing special about snipping tool to my mind.
