The Fax icon has jaggies.

Submitted by a7an on January 23, 2009 to Aesthetics, Icons

Compared to the other icons in the screenshot, the Fax icon is not as sharp because of the jaggies.

Apply anti-aliasing.

The Arc Mouse icon is so sweet looking.

now that looks like the real deal. If they can actully make the other icons look like the real deal, that would be neat. that is, if they get together with the hardware partners

It is easier to see this when the screenshot is not resized:

What on earth is an "USB Human Interface Device"?
Better naming please!

@icecone: Human Interface Device (in short: HID) is a device that "communicates" with you and the PC. So this are any kind of input device. Keyboard, Mouse, microphone/headsets etc. But it should be named "keyboard" though :D

They should be named by the official name that us humans understand. Things like "bulit in isight," or "arc mouse" is fine, as the icons are very good visuals.

but isnt windows 7 gonna have that device stage? Where each device will have its own window, like the getting started window, with its own color, theme, icon etc with settings links etc..... that better in the long run

@Cuppa thanks for linking to the higher res version of the image. The aliasing is easier to see in the default size shown by the higher res image.
