Windows Photo Viewer decreases quality and size of files when rotated
Most simple programs can lossless rotate- I am not sure why Windows can't have that built in. However, I find that rotating with Live Photo Gallery increases your file size by about 5% and I can't find any artifacts even after rotating 3 or 4 times, so they jpeg quality is good enough that it doesn't have to be lossless.
Toggle Hidden Files Shortcut Key
Agreed. I sort my files into hidden and visible for a cleaner folder structure, but sometimes I need to access the hidden file or folder and I can't quite remember the name or location to type it in the address bar.
Hotkeys to show/hide file extensions and hidden files
I prefer to hide my file extensions because it looks cleaner, but sometimes I need to check the file type and the name is less than clear in the description (Video File), so I need to check the extension. Or sometimes, you need to quickly change the extension for some reason.
A global windows hotkey panel where you could review/define/set windows hotkeys would be nice.
Metadata for all file types in Library
I don't think it's up to Microsoft to decide what metadata file formats have.
Remove Image Viewing from Windows Media Player; Improve Photo Viewer

Windows default photo viewer does indeed waste a ton of space, which is more evident when using a netbook. At the very least, there should be a full screen option that isn't just a slideshow.
