Major Feature Suggestions Impractical

Problem: Since Windows 7 is in the release candidate stage I don't think we should be suggesting major features as it is extremely unlikely that they would add a major feature in at the RC and RTM stage.

Solution: Suggest minor features and bugs rather than suggest major features.

Wow. This site has gotten very immature! Moderator needed!

Problem: I remember a few months ago or in 2008 this site was more mature than it is now. There are tons of attention seeking teens (aka Agent11) posting unhelpful and discouraging posts. Microsoft employees won't take this site seriously.

Solution: This site needs a moderator or a system of moderation.

Force all programs to "Aero Snap"

Problem: Adobe Photoshop CS4, Itunes won't maximize when dragged to the top of the screen.

Solution: Force all programs to "Aero Snap" regardless of the developer. Or, make it mandatory for Windows programs to follow "Aero Snap" guidelines.

Wrong classification of file in Search bar in Menu

Problem: The search bar doesn't classify Word documents in the category Documents but rather puts it in category All files.

Solution: Classify word documents in the category "Documents".

Make a wizard to make a theme because currently there is no obvious way to make and upload a theme

Problem: Make a wizard to make a theme. People can make a theme by adding Desktop Backgrounds, Windows Colors, Sounds and Screen Savers, Icons, Mouse Pointers etc. Microsoft can them make them be able to upload it at (more...)

Windows is extremely buggy when opening a Step Recorder file (zip) in Internet Explorer

Problem: Windows 7 is extremely buggy when opening a Step Recorder file (zip) when not extracted in Internet Explorer 8. Windows Aero is disabled, Internet Explorer constantly pops up new windows, etc.

Solution: Don't make Windows 7 buggy when opening a zip file in IE8.

1. Type "windows" in Start menu search box and click " See more results'
2. Scroll down and up fast.
3. Click the exit button, and right click Windows Explorer in the taskbar

Windows Explorer plays Windows Boot Up Sound Once Restarted

Brush In Paint Program Runs Out Of "Paint"

Problem: The Brush in the lower corner in the paint program runs out of "paint". Is that really neccassary. I know it adds more realism but that is going to far. We're not running Kidpix or something.

Solution: Don't let the Brush run out of paint or add a feature to turn it on or off.

Wordpad has old dialog box and icon

Problem: Wordpad uses an old dialog box for "Insert Object" and a icon from Windows 98.

Solution: Make the dialog box Aero style and change the icon.
