Due to the stupidity of Long (that's me), all comments on the Windows 7 Taskforce after March has been lost.
As a result of this unfortunate event, a transition to a new backend (the one powering heresanidea.net) is being considered.

Reliability Monitor doesn't show exact numbers anymore

Submitted by Josh the Nerd on July 9, 2009 to Usability

In Windows 7, Reliability Monitor doesn't show the exact number for your reliability rating. You just have to estimate how close to 1, 5, or 10 the line is.

Show the exact x.xx number, like Windows Vista.

Merge Notification Area Icons and System Icons Control Panel applets

Submitted by Josh the Nerd on July 5, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability

The Control Panel applets Notification Area Icons and System Icons handle very similar tasks. Although there is no real redundancy, the fact that the functionality is split between two applets is annoying.

Merge them.

Don't hide restore points

Submitted by Josh the Nerd on June 29, 2009 to Annoyance

When System Restore starts, some restore points are hidden, to be revealed by clicking "Show more restore points". System Restore does not give the user a clue what the difference between the two sets of restore points is.

Do not hide restore points, or tell the user why they are hidden.

Submitted by Josh the Nerd on May 8, 2009 to Annoyance, Usability

Recycle Bin refuses to hold files with very long (I don't know how long) filenames.

Allow Recycle Bin to handle long filenames.
