Problem with wizards

Submitted by .Chris on January 20, 2009 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Bug, Icons

When wizzards are in full screen, the title bar's text over laps the icon. The text also does not have any glow.

Either dont alow wizards to be full screen or fix it.

Retain generic windows icon type when default program has changed.

Submitted by hoopla_punta on November 28, 2008 to Aesthetics, Icons

When I set WinLivePhotoGallery to be the default for opening my pictures. It changed all the generic icon type to a WLPG icon. If you have noticed, there are different icons for .jpg .png .bmp and .gif. Open "save as in paint" and you'll (more...)

Get the defaulted programs "RealPlayer, WLPG, VLC, etc..." to adopt the Windows Generic Icons for different formats if possible.

Wide vertical taskbar = wide buttons and same tiny multiple windows notches. No columns of buttons?

Submitted by pepperammi on May 22, 2009 to Aesthetics, Icons, Usability

If you opt to use the taskbar vertically and try making it wider thinking it'll give you a double (or more) column of buttons and fit more on it doesn't work. Your buttons just get wider and might as well have tags/labels enabled.
Neither (more...)

Either option would be nice. Go to columns if set not to show labels or an option in the preferences for users to switch, or big buttons with proportionally larger notches. If large enough on larger taskbar could then be used themselves instead of using (more...)

Submitted by HinoMusouka on January 11, 2009 to Aesthetics, Icons

It's not quite a legacy (maybe from Vista) but 3 icons, as you can see on the picture, use old UAC shield icon.

Introduce current shield icon.

Tighten up the positioning of icons in the System Tray

Submitted by sfsdfd on June 27, 2009 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Icons, Usability

The System Tray (sorry - "notification area") of Windows 7 needs some aesthetic work. The displaying of icons is really kind of haphazard.

In Windows XP, icons were displayed in a nice little grid with even spacing, presenting (more...)

Tighten up the spacing of icons in the tray.

Remove the "under-arrow" tray feature, as it is redundant with the mouse cursor.

And replace the "More Icons" drop-down icon with a right-click tray option.

This is a great app- but why the rubbish UI? (IEExpress)

Submitted by patternjake on May 31, 2009 to Aesthetics, Icons

Theres a few times Ive used this app to package things for the web. Its actually quite useful in some cases. However, its completely out of style with Win7.

Update it so its a modern Aero Wizard interface
-or at least update the fonts and resources to make it look more modern.

Disabling network connection displays crappy icon

Submitted by nyp on March 17, 2009 to Aesthetics, Icons

Disable your network connection (good luck finding it, okay, I'll tell you, "Network and Sharing Center", "Change adapter settings") and then click on the bottom-right network icon. You'll see a very crappy icon.

Change it.
