keybindings and scancodes and mouse reactions
Since most keyboard and Mouse drivers are crappy i'm desperatly in need of an input device behaviour editor.
All input devices report their actions to the system so how come I cannot control how the system reacts to that input.

Build a system keybinding/mouse button editor wich does understand the diffence between a 5 button mouse and a mousepad and keeps track of their settings.
That way i don't have to fight the system with several half working device drivers (more...)

Differentiate between icons in the superbar that are pinned and those that are not
Differentiating between icons in the superbar which are pinned and open from those which are not pinned but open is inconvenient. The only way is by right clicking the icon. If the menu asks whether you want to pin the item then that means it is not pinned (more...)

The Explorer window and the Internet Explorer window have a big UI inconsistency. Consider the image below.
Windows Vista nuked the option of displaying the folder path in the Explorer window title. I never understood why Microsoft did (more...)
Create an option in the Properties section of Explorer to display the folder path in the title bar, and respect the user's preferences.

Option to turn off new command bar in Explorer
Let's consider the current Explorer interface (see image below.)

All- if not almost all options in Windows explorer is exposed through the control panel or the buttons on the toolbar, so its the menu really nesscary? Half the time people wont know to press ALT etc.
Remove it, its pretty bare bones.

Aero Next Taskforce needed
Windows 7 is feature complete. Effectively nothing except Bugs and Aesthetics will be fixed between now and RTM.
Create an Aero Next Taskforce for submissions that alter the look or behaviour of Windows. Refocus Aero(renamed as Vista?) and Win7 Taskforces on bugs and aesthetics.
Split Aqua taskforce in same way.
Make Link to the Taskforce sister sites (more...)

Add more shortcuts with image in the start menu
One could add more shortcuts with image in the start menu and save mouse clicks? The truth is that it would be much more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Windows Vista does not think about it.
Thank you for your attention.
