Ability to Disable Libraries
The libraries concept is a good one, don't get me wrong, but if you don't use them for whatever reason (possible reasons listed below), then why can't we be given the ability to disable libraries, which honestly, wouldn't be a hard (more...)
Either implement Libraries properly (http://www.windows7taskforce.com/view/2539) and provide the necessary options to customise (more...)

Explorer view by Large Icons keyboard shortcut unusable
Those who use keyboard strokes to perform tasks like changing file views cannot easily change to Large Icon view. For example, switching to Details view in Explorer is done by Alt > v > d keyboard strokes. Since Large Icon view is assigned to lowercase (more...)
Reassign Large Icon view to either 'a', 'e', or 'i' key when invoked from the Alt key. Note the underlined menu keyboard shortcut letters are not visible if clicking on the View menu with the mouse, but only when called from (more...)

Untoggling Auto-Arrange in Windows Explorer
Not being able to drag the order of files and images around to my liking is an immensely irritating limitation for me and all professionals who constantly work with images. It's even more irritating in that W7 is inconsistent in allowing it on the (more...)
Please allow us to rearrange our items in our own fashion that does not involve renaming all of our files or even taking our hands off the mouse. This limitation seriously cuts into productivity, and it is a simple, essential, extremely useful function (more...)

Windows shadow is too thick and covers usable information
Windows shadows are very thick, and non-transparent in the beginning. This makes it obscure the information beneath, and make the desktop look split up in pieces. I hope you understand what I mean :)
Update: here is a theme in progress (more...)
Make the shadow a bit bigger, more transparent and non-linear, or provide adjustable options. More like OSX Snow Leopard or Ubuntu Gnome XGL.

Albums are NOT sortable by year any more. [Windows Media Player 12]
In Media Player 11, by default, albums were sorted by year, which is very sensible. Now in Media Player 12, they are by default sorted by name (alphabetically). There is no way to sort by year any more.
Make albums sortable by year again in the artist view.

Windows 7 Taskbar
The Windows 7 taskbar design blurs the concept of program launching with that of selecting running tasks. These are fundamentally different concepts which I would like to see kept separate.
Provide an option to display launch icons and tasks in separate areas of the taskbar as was possible in XP/Vista.

Double clicking file scrolls rather than executing the file
If you double click a file in a non left-most column where the selected file (or any other file in the same column) has even 1 character of its filename 'cut off' by the Explorer window boundaries, the file does not execute. Rather, the Explorer (more...)
Assume users know what file they want and are double-clicking it for a reason despite the fact that some filenames in the same column are not fully accommodated by the Explorer window boundaries.

I've noticed a weird problem with VB6 apps (runtime) on the RTM of
Windows 7 (replicated it on RC and Beta1 as well).
Some standard controls such as the combobox and menu bar suddently do
not support right to left properly.

Windows 7 leaves a ghost line when the taskbar is dragged, resized or moved to the top of screen
As a w7 user, and as being a heavy pc user, I love to see my taskbar on top of my screen. (surveys and reports have concluded that mouse can easily be moved upward rather than downward by a user).
When I tried to drag or dock the taskbar (more...)
There have been no solution yet to this bug. But it is advisable to frequently browse the windows 7 website to download patches whenever available.

Touch: map WinKey+drag to Flip3D with inertia
On a touch enabled laptop Flip3D feels unnecessarily cumbersome, having to push the tab key repeatedly to get to specific windows.
I want to hold the Windows key, and drag a finger (or pen, or cursor) diagonally across the screen to bring up a moving Flip3D view that responds as smoothly as 'coverflow' on the iPhone. It seems like a natural and nicely 'flashy' (more...)
