When you use the math input panel you run in to these problems.
1. There is no minimize button.
2. It is always on top.
3. No real way to re-size it manually.
4. Command buttons are with in the title bar it self.

Games Folder's Details Pane resizes oddly.
This prob is super hard to explain so bear with me on this one.
1. Open Games Folder from start menu.
2. Resize the WINDOW until it is the length of the screen, Height doesn't matter.
3. Set the DETAILS PANE to the center (more...)

It was fine in Vista. How the hell did they botch this up?
Bring back the sidebar in Windows 7 as an option!
B4 Vista i never used widgets because they were pointless and i had to clear my screen every time i wanted to see them. With Vista and the Gadget sidebar, i had a place to not only house my gadgets, but i could set it to stay on top of windows, so all (more...)
i found a little hack to get the sidebar, all it is, is basically copying 2 files from Vista's
program files\ sidebar folder to the same dir in Windows 7. It will bring back the sidebar and its functionality. I tried it in Win 7 Ultimate (more...)

Well its not fixed but i have 2 workarounds to help in the meantime.
Redundant discontinuous selection box
After using copy (Crtl+C), move (Crtl+M), etc. in desktop a rendundant selection box will appear in desktop giving a legacy, aestetycal and sometimes confusing appearence to desktop. This only happens with desktop not explorer windows or open/save dialogs.

Drive properties in same window
Instead of having a separate window come up showing the drive options, why not add it to the explorer window it self?

The click sound is way after you doubleclick on a folder.
The sound shoud be when you open the folder, not when the folder is fully loaded.

Explorer's Recent Pages menu items are too close to the icon
Explorer's Recent Pages(??) menu items don't have enough left padding for the icons like other menus do.
Add some padding into there.

Include black version of the Vista-style Aero cursors
The current black color cursors are the old-style from pre-Vista. They aren't anti-aliased unlike the white aero cursors.
Update them, so they're like the new anti-aliased cursors introduced in Vista, but have them black.

"Share" Checkbox on Libraries is never "un-greyed".
On an individual Library's properties window, there is a checkbox labeled "Share". It seems impossible to get it un-grayed, and it shouldn't be there.
Remove this checkbox.

Clock Gadget Settings has ugly cyan line
See Screenshot. Vista Aero Ugly Cyan line is back again. Microsoft didn't do a good job removing it in 7, as (apparently) it is there in many places.
To replicate: Add Clock Gadget. Go to the Gadget's settings. See the popup.
Remove the ugly Cyan line.

Update Timezone display
The timezone display on Windows 7 could use a bit of an update. It still shows a pretty static display.
Possibly update to something similar to this:

Network Connections Properties dialog
The Network Connections Properties dialog (Local area connection properties) needs to be updated badly. It's a legacy dialog that has components I used to see in Windows 98 when I had my old PC.
Update the dialog, so it follows the UX guidelines. Microsoft, if you created the guidelines, use them!
