The text on the desktop icons is White, and portions of my desktop background picture is also white, which makes to text very hard to read.
It would be nice to be able to change the color of the text under the desktop icons

Suggestion: add different views and organize the Control Panel
If you look the screenshot, i'll see a big blank side, for just 4 control panel options. Why don't add different icon views to the control panel? Than, we'd see the icons bigger, and, just like in the explorer, a Details View, than, we (more...)

Construct whole new UI design, vector icon package and programming API etc for Windows 7
As nice and pretty though Windows 7 is with its scalable vector based icons, Aero UI,WPF apis etc etc, lets face it: its based on a vintage win32 API which was cool and awesome in 1995, but because its now 15 years since, its time for a change methinks.
Reconstruct Windows 7 in whole new ways as suggested in the title.

Differentiate between icons in the superbar that are pinned and those that are not
Differentiating between icons in the superbar which are pinned and open from those which are not pinned but open is inconvenient. The only way is by right clicking the icon. If the menu asks whether you want to pin the item then that means it is not pinned (more...)

Add more shortcuts with image in the start menu
One could add more shortcuts with image in the start menu and save mouse clicks? The truth is that it would be much more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Windows Vista does not think about it.
