Due to the stupidity of Long (that's me), all comments on the Windows 7 Taskforce after March has been lost.
As a result of this unfortunate event, a transition to a new backend (the one powering heresanidea.net) is being considered.

Submitted by Daemonmonkey on March 10, 2010 to Annoyance, Usability

When an autostarted program is active after you inserted a CD with Autoplay, and then you eject the CD without ending the program and then try to end/continue program the error notification pops up, telling you (correctly) that the CD i s missing.

Make the dialog supreme and if I click Cancel that means the CD is not there so end the program.

Have the taskbar resize like in a window (more smoothly).

Submitted by computerkid on March 13, 2010 to Aesthetics, Annoyance, Usability

Currently when you resize the task bar, and keep your mouse held at a certain spot the windows is still in the same spot making it seem a little clunky in my opinion.

Make the windows move to fill up the space that is opened up when you resize the task bar (kinda like the way a window resizes). In my opinion, it could give the illusion of a faster system.

Start Menu Out Of Shape

Submitted by Trinity1080 on March 13, 2010 to Annoyance, Bug, Usability

When the taskbar is being docked on the side, it will block the pinned items. That is not good, but the worst part is when it is dragged wider, the start menu will change into something very ugly which I failed to describe it.

Fix this bug!

Make excel easier to use

Submitted by mooky on March 11, 2010 to Annoyance, Bug, Usability

I work in a lot of spreadsheets with multiple worksheets within them. I'd like an alt-tab function so that I can flick between the worksheets easily instead of going to all the terrible effort of using my mouse to select the correct one.

Create an alt-tab-like system!

Screw you Microsoft for purposely imposing so many 'system limitations'!

Submitted by formula_86 on March 6, 2010 to Annoyance, Bug, Legacy, Usability

Whenever I try and do a certain thing in a Microsoft product and it brings up an error saying it can't do it due to a 'system limitation', it REALLY pisses me off so much I pull my hair out in chunks! Why? Because it beats me why Microsoft (more...)

STOP imposing these system limitations purposely, no bloody wonder you are losing your customers!

By default, make the language tone of Microsoft Office less patronizing

Submitted by bbchater2k10 on March 12, 2010 to Annoyance, Legacy, Usability

Lets face it: I have been using Microsoft Office ever since the 95 edition, and I can tell you one thing; the language tone of the whole thing is way too patronizing. I was bitterly disappointed when Office 2007 was released and when I tested out Office (more...)

Cut out the patronizing language tone for all future versions of Microsoft Office.
